This past weekend Rogers 'Hometown Hockey' was in St. Catharines. Host Ron MacLean was broadcasting live from the corner of Church St. and James St. During the show there was a feature on Ridley College's 125th anniversary and three hockey notables with connections to our school. They include Harry (Red) Foster, a member of Ridley's graduating class of 1926 who became a sports broadcaster as well as the founder and chairman of the Canadian Special Olympics; Welland native Amanda Wark, the women's hockey co-ordinator at Ridley and the assistant coach of the Canadian National women's under-23 team; and Andrew Peters, a Ridley lower school grad who played for the Buffalo Sabres.
